Emma

Health, fitness and wellbeing have been at the forefront of my life’s passions for some time. Yoga has been in my life on and off since my late teens but my real connection with yoga didn’t start until my late 20’s. After completing my Cert 3 & 4 in Fitness in 2012, I spent some time working in gyms. I started attending yoga with Barbie at the gym I worked at. Yoga really compliments & enhances your life and any other physical exercise you are doing.  I just loved the practice so much,  I could still move my body physically but also take a break from all the busyness and really slow down my body, my breath and my mind at the same time – really connect back into myself. In 2014 I travelled to Bali to complete my 200 hour yoga teacher training & a pre & post natal yoga training…this was it, where it all started, I had to know more. I have since gone on to study further with the IYTA, Zenergy Yoga & Yoga kids SA.

As the years have gone on I have moved away from a stronger asana practice, I now really love the philosophy, a slower asana practice, pranayama (breathing) and mediation. This all really compliments my busy life and the other exercise i do. I love how my yoga practice and classes have changed and adapted as my life has, yoga is always there, this guiding light in life fitting in where ever I am at, always reminding me to be a better person and live a more conscious and awakened life.

I love teaching my general yoga class Saturdays mornings at the Yoga School and at also a class at Anytime Fitness along with a spin class. A big passion of mine is prenatal yoga, I especially loved sharing this class when pregnant with my 2 boys. Kids yoga is great fun and I am lucky enough to get to share this at the studio and at Poonindie Primary School where I also work as an SSO. A new love of mine is my singing bowl classes which are just beautiful and I love sharing sound healing with the community. I can also teach beginners, one on one, pranayama & meditation and postnatal classes. If you would like any more information on any classes I teach or yoga in general I would love to hear from you.

Love & light, Emma xo
